Russell Crotty Collaboration
6'x25 yards of duck canvas was purchased. It was folded
down each edge to five feet 2 inches. 2"x2"squares made of
board were placed/glued in the fold every foot. This was
enough to keep the edges from turning out. The fore edge
was ironed, lined with lenox paper, glued, and turned
twice to make a hollow tube. Leather was cut and pared for
the corners, and glued down with a mix of pva and wheat
paste. The long corner edge was punched and sewn. Back
side detail.

Victims & Avengers. Chris Anthony. 2007.
The page images are archival ink jet on Hanamuelle paper. The pages were fully
dampened with water, then put into the hydro press with a cut plastic die over
the image, to create a de-bossed edge, similar to etched printing.
The page spine edges were de-bossed with another multiple line die to allow
the pages to turn with ease in the hinge, much like an old victorian photo album.
